🌱 Welcome to CCNY Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers! We are super excited to be back and ready for the school year 🥰
⚙️ Being a SASE chapter in one of the most diverse academic institutions in America (CCNY), we have students coming from all backgrounds! We have members majoring various STEM Fields such as computer science, chemical engineering, Biomedical Science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, Health Sciences, and much more! Together we’ve created a strong close community full of ambitious individuals with the mission of serving others.
🧬 Through workshops, socials, and collaborations with other campus organizations as well as our fellow NYC-area SASE chapters, we help our members develop the necessary skills to succeed in the workforce.

Happy HoliSASE🎁! SASE CCNY and SBU are teaming up to raise money for Coalition for the Homeless. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a financial struggle for millions of New Yorkers this year so we wish to give to those who have not been fortunate.

For nearly 40 years, Coalition for the Homeless has provided multifaceted programs aimed at homeless prevention and reducing the homeless population through Food/Homeless Programs, Crisis Intervention Services, and Job Training Programs.

Our goal is to reach $300 for our chapter from 12/26 - 1/9/21. For every milestone we reached towards our goal, you'll see us do some challenges. If you’re in the giving spirit, Venmo or Zelle Luisa Wuchen at 617-207-6709.

🤩 Thank you to those who attend our SASE Sister Challenge (Crafting memories: origami) tonight! It was fun, relax, and chill (our morning jazz music was very successful)! We are glad to collaborate with our sister chapter Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology to host this event. Looking forward to having fun with them in the future. ;)

Hello SASE members!

It is that time of the year for E-BOARD ELECTIONS! We are currently accepting e-board applications and encourage you to apply, even if you recently joined SASE.

Becoming a part of the next e-board is a great opportunity if you are looking to gain some leadership experience or be part of an ambitious and hardworking team! We also have extended e-board positions such as historians and more. You will not be judged on how long you have been a part of SASE, but rather your dedication to SASE.

If you are interested in applying for e-board, please take a look at our 2020-2021 SASE E-board Application Information document, which highlights the requirements to run for each position. After reading through that document, you can begin filling out the application.

Hello guys!! NERC 2019 will be happening next month! If you haven't registered yet, please visit www.umdsasenerc.org to register; the registration fee is $55. NERC will be hosted by the University of Maryland SASE chapter on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 8am to 6pm at The Hotel at University of Maryland (7777 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD, 20740).

We have booked an Airbnb that can fit up to 16 people. It will be approximately $58 per person and for transportation, it will totally be up to you.

Additionally, our first General Body Meeting of the semester will be on Thursday, January 31 from 12:30 - 1:45pm and our NERC workshop will be on Tuesday, February 5 from 12:30 - 1:45pm.

We are excited to let you know that registration is open for the 2018 SASE National Conference!

This year, the conference will take place from Thursday, October 4, through Saturday, October 6, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, IL. Attending the National Conference is a great way to improve professional networking skills, as there will be a STEM career fair, professional and leadership development workshops, and many other networking opportunities. There is an early bird registration of $120 to attend the full conference. The deadline for the early bird registration is on Friday, September 7, 2018. After the deadline, registration for the full conference will become $140. Additionally, if you are interested in just attending the workshops, the price is $90. Please try to register as early as possible, so that we can figure out travel plans.

This is a general interest form for the 2018 SASE National Conference, which will take place at the Renaissance Schaumburg in Northwest Chicago, IL. The conference will begin on Thursday, October 4 and end on Saturday, October 6.
