PSC members were proud to join fellow workers from across the labor movement this weekend at the Delaney Hall immigrant detention center in Newark for the monthly "Labor Eyes on ICE" demonstration. As the inhumane conditions at Delaney Hall continue take the lives of those detained there, we redouble our efforts to organize against ICE's violence and to build a labor movement that fights for every one of our immigrant and non-citizen neighbors. Together, we have power, and we will keep organizing until our detained neighbors are free and all people have the right to live in dignity.

Labor Day Rally & March
September 8, 2026

The rally will begin on Liberty Street between Church Street and Broadway, with the march proceeding north on Church Street before turning onto Worth Street. Assembly will begin at 4:30pm, the rally will start at 5:00, and the march will step off at 6:00.

Join the PSC contingent on August 23rd for this month’s Labor Eyes on ICE rally at Delaney Hall in Newark, NJ. The union-organized rallies have been an important part of the resistance to the ICE/Geo Group detention facility, where the terrible conditions for those kidnapped/detained inside have led to three deaths.

We stand in solidarity with our colleagues at AAUP Hofstra in their struggle for a fair contract! Administrators at Hofstra University are disrespecting these indispensable workers at the bargaining table with heavy-handed tactics and demands for unacceptable concessions.

Hofstra University administration must bargain in good faith to advance the interests of Hofstra's students, workers, and community.
