CCNY Psychology Prof. Kenneth B. Clark was renowned for his research. Seventy-two years ago today, his work was instrumental in the unanimous Supreme Court ruling that declared racial segregation in public schools unconstitutional: Brown vs. Board of Education, May 17, 1954.

Today, CCNY's Psychology department honors the legacy of Clark and Dr. Mamie Phipps Clark, his wife and research partner, by giving an award in their honor to a graduating student. This year's recipient is Lushmere Menard.
