Live immersive and interactive performance employs unique tools that have yet to crossover to the work of Augmented Reality, video games, and VR. Jeff Wirth founded the Interactive Deep Dive as a 9 month experiential research lab designed to delve into applied interactive storytelling and its potential application in emergent fields and technologies. In this panel, he and his team will share their experiences and discuss why this unique style of co-creative storytelling, in which participants are invited to step into story as the protagonist of their own choosing, is the next generation of storytelling.

Meet the TRi team!

Introducing our first member, Jennifer!

Jennifer Kent is driven by the vision that interactive work empowers individuals and their communities through experiential learning and processing. Drawing upon her diverse background in business, education, and performance, she founded TRi iNTERACTIVE to share the power of interactive work with performers and non-performers alike. A classically trained performer, certified educator, and entrepreneur, Jennifer has been performing and teaching theater and empowering individuals through play for over two decades.

In 2011, Jennifer joined NYC foremost interactive theater company, Playing with Reality, where she directed, performed, produced, taught, and wrote interactive theater experiences for audiences and students. It was through the site-specific interactive work that intermersive theater was forged and TRi iNTERACTIVE was born.

Jennifer holds a BA from Oberlin College where she studied Theater Performance and Spanish Literature and an MS from Pace University in Theater Education and Language Acquisition. She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.

TRi is thrilled to announce the dates for our summer session of Intro to Interactive! The hands-on, six-week class will explore the foundational skills of interactive performance through improvisation exercises and dynamic play. Ideal for non-performers and performers alike, this workshop will focus on the core interactive principles of dynamic listening, intentional communication, and authentic connection. It will culminate in an immersive experience on the sixth week. By diving in to Intro to Interactive, you can expect to gain:
• More effective communication skills
• Deeper connections—with anyone (and everyone)
• Greater confidence

When: Thursdays, June 22 and 29 and July 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 6:45pm to 9:30pm
