AI can generate a pattern. But can it understand culture, style, and what makes something fashionable? 👗 In celebration of NYC Fashion Week, Seidenberg is bringing together technology and fashion for an event exploring how artificial intelligence is influencing the industry, from creativity and design to bias and representation.

The conversation connects directly to research by Seidenberg’s Christelle Scharff, PhD, and her students, whose work has examined how limited fashion datasets can overlook garments and styles outside Western norms, including African fashion. Join us for expert speakers, including a Google Developer Expert, plus an exhibition of clothing and accessories that brings the intersection of AI, culture, creativity, and style to life.

There’s a lot more to the Seidenberg experience than what happens in the classroom. On Wednesday, September 16, students are invited to mix and mingle with Seidenberg faculty, staff, clubs, labs, and resources, including Career Services, eSports, cybersecurity, AI, robotics, game development, and more.

It’s a great opportunity for new students especially to meet people, explore ways to get involved, and start building their Seidenberg community.

Give students a real-world AI challenge, room to experiment, and the support to figure it out.
That was the idea behind Seidenberg’s 2026 AI Internship Experience, where Professor Matthew Ganis led Pace University students through two immersive weeks of building AI-powered solutions, collaborating across campuses, and learning from industry professionals—including a visit to IBM’s Think Lab.
From experimenting with new technology to presenting their work, students walked away with AI experience built for what comes next. Read more about their experience at the link below.
