Project Sunshine at Hunter College

Project Sunshine at Hunter College Project Sunshine provides free educational, recreational, and social programs to children facing medical challenges and their families.

The Hunter College Chapter is committed to the Project Sunshine mission of spreading sunshine to the pediatric healthcare environment. We work with nearby hospitals to implement fun and educational programming.

Hi friends!! We hope your semester is off to a great start! We have a great opportunity available to those interested in in-person volunteering. We are partnering with NYU Fink and we need 2 regular volunteers this semester to join 2 of our board members to work in the outpatient and bedside unit in pediatrics. We are looking for volunteers who have high energy and can consistently volunteer Fridays from 10a-12p at NYU Fink. If this sounds like you registration opens at 7pm tomorrow 9/8. We will post the link to and email out the google form!!

This is first come first serve basis but we will have more opportunities and activities throughout the semester!!

Project Sunshine is a multi-national non-profit organization that specializes in meeting socio-emotional needs of pediatric patients and families with all types of medical conditions.

The Hunter College Chapter takes part in promoting creative expression, socialization and learning in medical facilities. Although we can’t volunteer in-person this semester, Project Sunshine has virtual volunteering opportunities in order to still bring joy to pediatric patients.

Hey guys!! We will be having a Sending Sunshine event tomorrow from 1:30-3:30pm in HW208. We'll be making craft kits to send to children in hospitals. Snack and refreshments will be served.

Hey Guys!! We will be having our first open house of the semester TOMORROW October 5th from 1:30-3:30pm in room HW208. Come create a card that will then be sent to a child facing health problems. Refreshments will be served. Can't wait to meet everyone tm!:)
