NYSABE invites educators, researchers, school leaders, families, students, advocates, and community partners to submit a proposal for the 2027 NYSABE Annual Conference:

Join CUNY-IIE for Teaching Immigration with PreK–5th Grade Children’s Literature, led by Dr. Cecilia M. Espinosa.
Through children’s literature featured in CUNY-IIE’s Immigration Literature Guide, participants will explore themes of immigration, displacement, and diaspora while developing multimodal strategies to engage young readers.

📚 FUTURE BILINGUAL TEACHERS: Preparing for your New York State teacher certification exams?

The NYC Public Schools Office of Multilingual Learners is offering a FREE Teacher Certification Test Preparation Program for eligible bilingual teacher candidates!

The program will provide support for:

✅ Educating All Students (EAS)
✅ Content Specialty Tests (CST) in Literacy, ELA, and Math

Graduates of undergrad programs or grad students who have completed their bilingual teacher education coursework and/or will complete student teaching this Fall or next Spring are encouraged to apply.
