Marxe School of Public and International Affairs has the largest public affairs faculty in the nation. Over 1,000 students are studying public affairs. The School has established an outstanding record since its founding in 1994. It has the single most diverse student body of all full time graduate programs in public administration in the United States, according to the Association for Public Polic

y Analysis and Management (APPAM). The faculty are routinely cited in the press, consulted by government offices, foundations and nonprofit organizations, and published in the leading academic journals. Undergraduate and graduate public affairs students have gone on to rewarding careers as leaders and policy makers in education, health policy, government, and nonprofit management. The School’s research centers are at the cutting edge of public policy analysis. Civic leaders and top executives are regularly invited on campus to interact with public affairs students. The speakers have included current and former members of Congress, governors, mayors, state legislators, city council members, nonprofit managers, entrepreneurs, and public policy scholars. The School is housed in a renovated 1920’s courthouse at the corner of 22 Street and Lexington Avenue at the nexus of the historical Gramercy Park and Flatiron neighborhoods of New York City. The midtown Manhattan location connects the student body to thousands of nearby nonprofits, the nation's largest public school system, the United Nations, and hundreds of city, state and federal agencies.
