Urban Studies alum Daniel Chu recently took a position as an Energy Planner at the NYC Environmental Justice Alliance!

The Alliance is a non-profit membership network that advocates for environmental justice through campaigns designed to inform city and state policies.

Daniel graduated with the BA in Urban Studies in 2019, after which he completed an MS in Design and Urban Ecologies from Parsons.

Now in his capacity as an Energy Planner, he works on a wide portfolio of projects, from guiding development of community-owned solar and storage across the state, to prioritizing clean energy for disadvantaged communities.

Daniel says that navigating through the complexities of the city’s energy landscape is at times complicated, but he is happy that he can contributie toward environmental justice for New Yorkers.
