Browning faculty are hard at work preparing to welcome our boys back behind the Red Doors!

This summer, 40 of our teachers participated in seven faculty-led projects through our Collaborative Learning Cohort, making this our largest cohort yet. From exploring how Gemini Notebook can empower students to use AI as a pro-learning tool to examining reading across the curriculum, our faculty spent the summer collaborating, exploring, and developing new approaches to deepen learning at Browning.

The stairwells at 64 just got a lot more colorful!

Large-scale murals and vinyl prints now showcase artwork by recent graduates Pablo Ramirez Salgado ’26 and Ikram Agbani ’26, both created as part of their Certificate of Distinction projects.

Pablo’s work explores art as a continuation of creative ritual passed down, while Ikram’s examines the representation of stories forgotten by history. Now, both projects have a place in the everyday life of the Upper School, adding student-created art, ideas, and perspective to the spaces our community moves through every day.

Rising senior Leonardo ’27 was recently featured in The FilAm, sharing his perspective on history, civic engagement, and the role young people can play in shaping their communities. Read more at thefilam.net/archives/46683.

He’s also helping create space for other young voices through The KAPWA Project (Kultural Asian Pacific Writers Association), a student-led magazine featuring writing by Asian Pacific high school students from across eight schools. With several Browning faculty members serving as advisors, the project brings students together to share their experiences, perspectives, and stories.

We’re proud to see Leonardo using writing and conversation to build connections, amplify student voices, and engage with the world beyond the classroom!

Browning truly seems like a special place for the boys to learn and grow, and I look forward to supporting them in their academic journey.
