Dear Howard University Community,

On behalf of Howard’s Sesquicentennial Planning Committee, we are excited to present a digital historical timeline to honor and celebrate Howard’s 150 years of “Excellence in Truth and Service.” The timeline can be found at: 150.howard.edu/howard-1867-present

The sesquicentennial celebration theme, “The Time is Always Now,” emphasizes that we must understand and apply the lessons of the past in order to effectively seize the present and continue building an optimal future for ourselves and our community.

We would like to thank the Sesquicentennial Planning Committee for their hard work and unwavering commitment to this project.

We invite you to take a look and enjoy reflecting on Howard’s monumental history!

Excellence in Truth and Service,

Dean Danielle Holley-Walker & Mr. Calvin Hadley,
Sesquicentennial Committee Co-Chairs
