Huge congratulations to Dr. Jamel Coy Hudson of the Department of Communication Studies on his selection for the "Unseen Threads" competitive multi-campus faculty learning initiative! 🎉

As a Doctoral Lecturer of Rhetoric and Public Advocacy, Dr. Hudson joined a selective Spring 2026 CUNY cohort to examine the deep-rooted links between historical atrocities—including the Holocaust and anti-Black racism—and the systems of discrimination that persist today.

From the Kupferberg Holocaust Center to the Legacy Sites in Montgomery, Alabama, this journey moved scholarship out of the abstract and into the physical geography of history. Reflecting on the program, Dr. Hudson shared:

"It was a powerful and meaningful experience, emblematic of the values of Baruch College as an institution and the broader work we are perpetually committed to.”

We are proud to have faculty dedicated to bringing these vital lessons back to the Baruch community. Join us in celebrating this well-deserved recognition! 👏
