Peace Corps Fellows Program at Teachers College, Columbia University Become a New York City teacher in a high need public school while earning your master's degree at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Established in 1985 at Teachers College, Columbia University, we recruit and support Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) to teach in New York City public schools while earning master's degrees in education. Join an extensive network of 850 Peace Corps Fellow educators. We are proud to be the first Peace Corps Coverdell Fellows program in the nation. Teachers College has a long history of worki

ng with governments and educational institutions around the world, including assisting in the creation of UNESCO after World War II and launching a teacher training program in East Africa that was the precursor to the Peace Corps. In the early 1960’s many volunteers trained at Teachers College before being sent abroad.

This past week, we kicked off our program's Intensive Summer Institute and welcomed a new batch of fellows. 🙌 What better way to do so than with some guided fieldwork at Flushing International High School! Thank you to our partners for welcoming us and offering rich experiences to our students' professional development.
