NYU GPH Student Governing Council

The Student Governing Council (SGC) is the umbrella student organization for all students and student groups at the College of Global Public Health.

The SGC is a group of GPH students (undergraduate, MA, MPH, and PhD) elected to serve on behalf of the general GPH student body. The SGC works to foster a sense of community, promote leadership/professional development opportunities, and oversee the creation of new GPH student groups.

Public Health x Entrepreneurship

Have an idea but don’t know where to start? Join SGC in collaboration with NYU Leslie eLab () to learn how public health ideas can be developed into real-world startups.

This event will walk through available resources, highlight real examples of student founders, and break down practical first steps to help you get started.

Open to the entire GPH community—whether you already have an idea or are just curious about innovation in public health.

Come get inspired and start building.

Think you know what your peers are thinking? Put your knowledge (and guessing skills!) to the test at GPH SGC’s Family Feud–style Trivia event!

Join us and in celebrating Public Health Week and GPH’s 10th anniversary with fast-paced, survey-style trivia where teams will compete to guess the most popular responses to public health–themed questions and fun, campus-inspired prompts. Whether you’re a trivia pro or just in it for the laughs, this event is all about friendly competition, community building, and GPH pride.

All GPH club events are open to all, inclusive of all backgrounds and identities — so grab your classmates, colleagues, or come solo and we’ll match you with a team!
