BMCC and the Fulbright Association are launching something we've never offered before: the Global Leadership & Diplomacy Certificate, a six-week program built around live sessions with Fulbright Alumni and global leaders working across international law, cultural diplomacy, and crisis leadership.

This is the founding cohort. It's built for emerging professionals, students, and aspiring Fulbrighters who want to lead across borders, not just study them.

What's included:
✅ 12 hours of instruction plus a 12-hour live Scholar Speaker Series
✅ A joint Certificate of Completion from BMCC and the Fulbright Association
✅ A global leadership plan and lifetime alumni network access

BMCC Continuing Education celebrated its first cohort of registered apprentices in the cybersecurity, cloud engineering and computer networking trades during a completion ceremony held July 22 in the Fiterman Hall Conference Center.

The event also recognized four new cohorts of pre-apprentices in cybersecurity, cloud engineering, network engineering and IT support with ESL student learners. The pre-apprentices are now equipped with the skills to enter the job market. The completion ceremony marks a milestone in BMCC’s mission to reskill and upskill diverse talent in underserved communities across New York City.

“BMCC’s IT Career Pathways and Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program continues to demonstrate how higher education can drive social good, community vibrancy and economic mobility for New Yorkers,” said Allison Messina, BMCC’s Assistant Vice President of Workforce Development and Continuing Education.

🎉 More than 40 students completed the intensive, hands-on training programs, earning industry-recognized certifications including CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, and AWS.
