John Jay College Office of Military & Veteran Services To support all student veterans, dependents and active duty military

Our goal is to actively engage all student veterans and their families at John Jay College countless and distinct programs and activities that will enhance their college experience. The OVA is guided by the mission of the Division of Student Affairs which reads, “The Division of Student Affairs helps students realize their full potential through innovative strategies that engage our urban commuter

campus and promote a holistic approach to students' success and engaged learning. We provide integrated, student-centered educational activities resulting in empowered students leading engaged socially responsible lives.”

The Civil Service Pathways Fellowship is a two-year program for CUNY graduates interested in building a career in public service.

Fellows receive a competitive salary and health benefits, gain hands-on experience at a city agency, and become eligible to take at least one civil service exam after their first year.

To be eligible, you must:
• Have a bachelor's degree from CUNY by December 2026
• Be eligible to work in the United States
• Live within the five boroughs of New York City

Applications are open through September 4, 2026. The fellowship begins January 25th, 2027.

Veteran students enrolled in supported modern language courses can receive:
