Delta Kappa Epsilon is a social fraternity founded by a group of 15 men at Yale University in 1844. It is no coincidence that five presidents of the United States have been Dekes-more than any other fraternity-, that our flag was flown on the first expedition to the North Pole and again on a manned landing to the moon. The individual qualities that DKE seeks have certainly withstood the test of time and served us all in good stead. It is that unique blend of leadership, brotherhood and tradition that fuels this fraternity.

Giving back to the community 🩸

Our brothers were happy to volunteer and help out at a recent blood drive.

Big thank you to everyone who came out and donated — we really appreciate everyone who took the time to give back and help others.

This past Friday the brothers participated in a push up challenge to raise money to support those affected by 9/11. All donations were sent to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.

$510 raised!! 1020 pushups complete!!

This past week, Brothers Ioannis Rountos, ’28, and Matthew Coyle, ’27, were invited to the 182nd DKE Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. Brothers attended informational sessions to learn about the history of the international fraternity, methods for cultivating a stronger chapter and a commemoration of the recently retired Executive Director, Brother Doug Lanpher, Gamma, ’77.

Congratulations to Brother Ioannis Rountos ‘28 for winning the Charles O. Blaisdell Award, presented to the top undergraduate member of all DKE chapters each year. Thank you to all of the DKE executives and guest speakers who made this convention possible. In the Bonds, Friend From the Heart Forever.

Today, the brothers came together for our first community cleanup of the year, giving back to the campus and community we’re proud to be part of.

We also had a small surprise for our public safety officers in appreciation of their continued dedication to keeping our campus safe. 🍩
