Join PSC-GC, , and (NYU and Columbia’s unions) for a know-your-rights training for international students/workers who have gone abroad during the break and are concerned about surveillance or hostility at the border while reentering the US. The event will be held on January 4, 2024 at 11am ET on Zoom!
This workshop is especially meant to support those who may be targeted during travel to the US due to the war on Palestine — students/workers of color, especially Arab and Muslim students/workers, as well as those concerned about how their Palestine advocacy and activism may affect their immigration status.
It will cover your legal rights while traveling, entering the U.S., and dealing with immigration and customs officials. The workshop will be led by , a group based out of CUNY law school which offers legal support to Muslim, Arab, South Asian, and other communities in New York City who are affected by federal and local counterterrorism and national security practices.
