Welcome to Fall 2024! A few things we're hearing from students (new and returning):

If you're looking for your courses in Blackboard, please note that Baruch has changed to Brightspace starting Summer 2024: Please go to https://brightspace.cuny.edu/ and use your CUNY Login to access your Fall 2024 courses.

You can connect to WiFi either on the "Baruch" network or the "eduroam" network. If you use Baruch you will need your Baruch username and password. If you're a new student you can retreive your password info at https://bctc.baruch.cuny.edu/students/baruch-username-baruchmail/.

If you use "eduroam" you need to log in with your CUNY Login username and password. If you haven't claimed your CUNY Login you can do so at https://managelogin.cuny.edu/ and selecting "Activate your CUNY Login". eduroam has the benefit of working automatically at most CUNY campuses and at any college or university in the eduroam network, including most other NYC campuses.

Also note that if you need help you can call the BCTC Helpdesk at 646-312-1010, or log a ticket online at https://cunyithelp.cuny.edu/csp with your CUNY Login and password.

We're migrating old faculty and staff email that hasn't been migrated to the Microsoft 365 environment in preparation for the Baruch server's decommissioning. If you need your email migrated please fill out the form at https://forms.office.com/r/pGYsU0RYtw as soon as possible!

A network hardware issue is affecting access to most Baruch websites. We are working to restore service. The Baruch network is otherwise not affected and all other services are operating normally.

Internet service to CUNY was restored around 10:25pm.

There is a disruption to traffic to and from CUNY and Baruch sites (as well as other CUNY sites) are not currently available. We are awaiting more information.

The CUNYfirst PeopleSoft 9.2 Campus Solutions system upgrade is scheduled from 7:00 pm tonight through 10:00 pm on April 18. The CUNYfirst PeopleSoft 9.2 home page upgrade and HCM and Finance integrations with Campus Solutions is scheduled for 8:00 am on April 16 through 10:00 pm on April 18.

End Time: 10:00 pm on Monday, April 18, 2022

HCM and Finance Reporting Unavailability
Start Time: 8:00 am on Saturday, April 16, 2022
End Time: Tuesday, April 19, 2022

During this upgrade:
• CUNYfirst Campus Solutions, Human Resources, Finance and Reporting functions will not be available to users as outlined in the earlier unavailability schedules
• Overnight data transfers will not take place

Did you know Baruch is moving to Microsoft 365 email for faculty and staff on April 28th?

Go to baruch.cuny.edu/M365Email to learn more. Also on that page you can register for information sessions over the next 3 weeks. After April 18th we will help faculty and staff log into their new email and set up the system so you're ready when we switch over on the 28th.

The BCTC Helpdesk will be closed for walk-up support today to to staff availability. the Helpdesk will operate via Zoom from 9am to 5pm today as well as by email. The Kaplan Lab will remain open.
