Congratulations to DMA flutist Yoshi Weinberg on receiving a Fulbright Fellowship to Austria for the 2026-2027 academic year! Yoshi will pursue contemporary music studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz to work with members of the Klangforum Wien ensemble, and to study the compositions of Julius Eastman, a q***r Black composer.
Yoshi credits the Graduate Center’s Fulbright advising team, Rachel Sponzo (Associate Director of Student Research Fellowships), Professor Emily Wilbourne, and Prof. Anne Stone in the competitive application process.

Vincent DeLaurentis, Sato Moughalian, and Yoshi Weinberg will travel to India, Armenia, and Austria for projects exploring labor and urban space, Armenian cultural history, and contemporary classical music.
