In each episode, they cover a new story involving women and crime through a criminologist’s lens. They explore topics such as the root causes of female crime and victimization, women’s treatment within the CJS, and wrongful convictions and exonerations.

As criminologists, we study females who have been victims of crime, those who have committed crimes, and those involved in the criminal justice system through their work.

Analyzing survey data from 28,874 adults in 18 countries, the authors assess and discuss the impact of public support for the militarization of law enforcement on citizen trust in the police. Results suggest that although the citizenry moderately appreciates both the military and the police, public trust in the two security institutions starts to move in opposite directions when criminal violence and political instability strike.
