On July 11, 2026, the Teachers College Alumni Association of Korea joined the Columbia Alumni Association of Korea in welcoming the incoming class of Columbia Students at the New Alumni Welcome Reception & Incoming Student Send-off held at Yonsei University. The event brought together more than 170 alumni representing the undergraduate schools and graduate schools across Columbia University. From the Teachers College community, 18 participants attended, including incoming students, current students, recent graduates, and alumni.

The event featured orientation sessions for both incoming students and recent graduates, offering practical guidance on student life in New York, career development, and navigating life after graduation in Korea. Following the program, participants gathered for an informal networking reception where Teachers College alumni reconnected, shared experiences, and strengthened relationships within the Columbia University.

Thank you to everyone who joined and helped make this event a success! The TC Alumni Association of Korea looks forward to continuing to foster a vibrant and connected alumni community through future events.

On May 16, 2026, the Teachers College Alumni Association of Korea hosted its inaugural Alumni Field Day at Olympic Park in Seoul's Songpa District. Organized in celebration of Korea’s Month of Family, the event provided a wonderful opportunity for alumni and their families to connect, build relationships, and strengthen ties across the broader Columbia community.

The event brought together not only TC alumni but also graduates from across the University. We were also delighted to welcome alumni from fellow Ivy Plus institutions, creating a truly diverse and multigenerational gathering. Alumni in their 40s and 50s attended alongside their spouses and children, while recent graduates in their 20s and 30s enjoyed the opportunity to expand their professional and personal networks.

Facilitated by a professional event management company, participants were divided into two teams and competed in a series of energetic individual and team challenges. Thanks to the generosity of our alumni sponsors, participants enjoyed refreshments and a variety of prizes throughout the afternoon, ensuring that every attendee left with a memorable experience.

The festivities continued afterward at a nearby outdoor pavilion, where alumni gathered for an informal networking reception over chimaek (Korean fried chicken and b**r), further strengthening connections within the Columbia and Ivy Plus communities.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all the attendees whose enthusiasm made the event such a success. We would also like to recognize the dedicated members of the TC Alumni Association of Korea's Executive Committee, whose hard work and commitment over the past two months brought this event to fruition.

The TC Alumni Association of Korea remains committed to fostering a vibrant and connected alumni community, and we look forward to creating more meaningful opportunities for engagement in the years ahead.
