My name is Nerline Brutus, and I am studying Finance at Baruch College. A fun fact about me is that I enjoy reading, listening to music, and writing poetry.
My time at Baruch has been rewarding. The STARR Career Development Center has helped me tremendously with my resume and cover letter, which allowed me to stand out and build my confidence. The SEEK program has made my college experience smoother, as registering for classes has been easy, and the tutoring services have helped me maintain good academic standing. Additionally, since my first day at Baruch, my counselor has introduced and explained all the resources available to students. This has made my experience even better because I know how to navigate and take advantage of the support offered.
During the summer, I spent a lot of time reading books about personal development and used IBM SkillsBuild to learn about Artificial Intelligence and participate in micro-internships. I am also excited to share that I was accepted into the FinServ Foundation Fellowship Program.
I am proud to be a Bearcat, a SEEK student, and a member of the CUNY family. Because of the support they provide, I have become more confident and motivated to work toward my goals.
Thank you! All the support I have received throughout this journey have truly made a difference.
