Hi everyone!! My name is Youssif Fayez, I was born and raised in Brooklyn. I am the child of immigrants, my father is from Egypt & my mother is from Colombia. I like art & aspire to be an artist of some kind in the future. Being a SEEK freshman at Baruch has been a really great experience. SEEK has given me support and community that I'm very grateful for & that I believe all college students deserve. The SEEK Summer Program, SEEK Office, & Counselors are all essential resources that have made my college experience what it is, a really fun & bumpy journey of finding yourself in a new environment.

I'm also a member of the UMLA (Urban Male Leadership Academy) led by my counselor Sasha Pantzialas. There are monthly workshops, events, and initiatives. I'm very grateful to be a part of it as it is just another resource that has helped me move through the bumpy road of not just college but adulthood as a whole.

During these first two semesters of my College experience I have been able to do all sorts of things in and outside Baruch. I am on the Events Committee for LASO and Student Affairs Committee for USG. I’ve had a similar role for these opportunities in that I help set up and organize different events for both clubs across campus. I'm currently running to be a Representative Senator in USG which has also been a fun experience that has taught me more about how USG works. I also currently intern at Teatro LATEA, a theater in the Lower East Side, where I have learned a lot and have gotten the privilege to experience so much art & meet so many wonderful people.

Lastly, I am an ensemble member and musician for the upcoming Baruch Spring Musical. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an amazing cast and production team. The musical is very creative, beautiful and relevant to our current circumstance as college students in the United States. It has been a very fun, informative, & challenging experience that I definitely plan on returning to.
