Last night, we got to meet some of the guys from Delaware AEPi - the chapter Caleb was matched with through the B+ Foundation!
My intention was to get plenty of pictures to share, but I got sidetracked! One of the amazing UDance volunteers got pics that I can share later. But for now, I wanted to share what an absolute gift it was to our family. The kids spent the rest of the night talking about how cool the guys were and how much fun they had.
Childhood cancer is isolating. Being in treatment during a worldwide pandemic only intensifies that. Medicine and therapies aren't the only things that promote healing for kids - connection and fun decrease stress, which allows the body to heal more effectively!
And then there's the siblings of pediatric cancer patients - the ones who sacrifice more than anyone outside this world could know - the ones who struggle with big emotions and grief and trauma of their own. To see ALL of our kids enjoying themselves and having people focus their attention and time on each of them. There aren't words.
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we are super thankful for the guys of AEPi, UDance, and the B+ Foundation!
