COTC Alumni Come connect with COTC alumni, faculty, staff and friends! We want to hear from you!

Central Ohio Technical College was established in 1971 to meet the technical education and training needs of students and employers in Licking County, Ohio and the surrounding communities. Believing collegiate technical education to be an integral part of higher education, COTC’s Board of Trustees COTC envisioned a partnership between COTC and Ohio State Newark. An agreement was signed by both sch

ools in 1971, describing the cooperative relationship and specifying a cost-sharing plan by which the costs of operating the Newark campus would be shared by both COTC and Ohio State Newark. Over the past 40+ years, COTC has established three full-service extended campuses in Coshocton County, Knox County, and Pataskala/Western Licking County. Central Ohio Technical College prides itself on providing students with personal attention, state-of-the-art technology labs, and credentialed and experienced faculty. It also plays an important role in the economic development of the local community and the surrounding region due to the thousands of intelligent and eager graduates it infuses into the workforce each year. Please share news of your current employment, awards and recognition you have received and most importantly keep your contact information current. To learn more about ways you can engage with Ohio State Newark please contact Kim Barton, COTC Development Officer at 740-366-9135 or [email protected]

Brittany Misner Sworn In as Village of Hebron Administrator

HEBRON, Ohio — Brittany Misner was officially sworn in as Village Administrator for the Village of Hebron on Monday, July 27, 2026. Mayor Valerie Mockus administered the oath of office during the ceremony saying, "For Brittany, tonight's oath is especially meaningful because it follows years of demonstrated service rather than marking the beginning of it. She has celebrated our successes, helped us navigate challenges, and worked every day to make Hebron a stronger community."

Longtime Hebron resident Glenna Jones held the Bible as Misner took the oath. Jones was the longtime owner of Clay’s Café, a beloved Hebron restaurant. Clay’s Café holds a special place in Misner’s story. It was where she got her very first job at 15 years old and where Glenna Jones became one of her earliest mentors. Misner credits Jones with teaching her the value of hard work, showing up for others, and taking pride in serving the community.
“Having Glenna beside me and holding the Bible was incredibly special,” Misner said. “She gave me my first job and helped shape the work ethic I have carried with me throughout my career. It felt fitting to have someone who was part of the very beginning of my journey, and someone who loves Hebron as much as I do, standing beside me as I began this new chapter.”

Misner is a lifelong Hebron resident and has served the Village for the past three years, most recently as Economic and Community Development Director. In that role, she has overseen economic development, planning and zoning, community engagement, communications, and several major community and infrastructure initiatives.

As Village Administrator, Misner will serve as the Village’s chief operating officer and oversee the daily operations of Village departments, including water, water reclamation, public works, and parks, as well as infrastructure projects, economic development, and community development efforts.

Misner’s appointment reflects the Village’s continued commitment to strong local leadership, responsible decision-making, and high-quality services for Hebron residents and businesses.
