Hello HenLaw Society! Just a reminder that our Attorney Panel will be held tomorrow night (10/9) at 6PM in Memorial Hall Room 108. Our speakers for the panel are Mary Caloway, Courtney Emerson, and Kate Tuoni. You can find their bios attached below.
Mary Caloway is a managing shareholder at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC. Mary is well known to the Delaware bankruptcy bench and bar and well versed in local practice and procedures. She has experience in all aspects of bankruptcy cases and can represent any party-in-interest. Mary concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial bankruptcy and restructuring. She has represented debtors, foreign representatives, equity holders, official committees, secured lenders, creditors, asset acquirers and other parties-in-interest in a number of national bankruptcy cases, primarily in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Mary has represented the foreign representatives of numerous international debtors in connection with the commencement of Chapter 15 proceedings in the United States.
Courtney Emerson is an associate at Fox Rothschild LLP, where she represents clients in a wide range of commercial and civil litigation matters as well as environmental matters. She is a member of the American Bar Association’s Disaster Legal Services Team, which coordinates pro bono legal services for disaster survivors. Courtney previously worked as an emergency manager for nearly a decade. Prior to law school, she was a communications supervisor for the Wilmington Police Department, a volunteer firefighter/EMT and an educator for a multinational banking and financial services corporation. She graduated from Widener University School of Law, University of Delaware, and Padua Academy. Courtney is a lifelong Delawarean, and resides in Smyrna with her family and chocolate lab.
Katelyn M. Tuoni (Class of ’08) graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science from the College of Arts and Sciences and a major in Human Services with a concentration in Clinical Services. Following graduation Katelyn attended Bryn Mawr College for a Masters in Social Service. She practiced for a few years as a Clinical Social Worker before attending Widener University Delaware Law School and graduated from law school in 2018. Katelyn recently began her career as a Law Clerk, and is now awaiting admission to the Delaware Bar, at Fox Rothschild LLP.
