This is the official page of the Student Technological Association of Rutgers.

Student Technological Association of Rutgers[STAR] was created in 2012 in order to better serve the Rutgers Newark community in technological-related affairs. Today the Student Technological Association of Rutgers stays true to the ideals of its founders and promotes active discussion on technology related maters, including but not limited to, web development, new technological advancement, and c

omputer science information. Members have an active role in STAR and are frequently giving back to the community in ways such as assisting the elderly in basic computer skills, hosting meetings to teach certain skill sets such as CSS/HTML to all those interested, and informing the public about important information such as avoiding basic scam techniques. STAR's demographic is anyone interest in technology, even if you have no experience or knowledge in that subject matter. STAR promotes the sharing of any technological related information in any subject and welcomes all people!

Good evening everyone,

The Student Technological Association of Rutgers will be hosting a C++ Tutorial this Wednesday (11/10/14). This session will be great for those who are not familiar with programming yet and/or want to know the basics of programming in the language of C++. At one point, we all had to start somewhere right? This is a great opportunity to start right now.

Location: Englehard 309
Date: Wednesday 11/12/2014
Time: Free Period: 2:30pm - 4:00pm

Another event on the horizon is code testing with Monimus, LLC near NJIT. We will be headed to NJIT Enterprise Development Center at 4:00pm (right after the informal meeting). Please come as there will be free buffalo wings and pizza! Additionally, it counts as community service while you experience how QA Engineers test out code and have a chance to see software that are in beta stages.

For this Wednesday, STAR is planning to have an informal meeting in Hill Hall Room 216 on 10/22/14 from 2:30pm to 3:50pm to share web development experiences with others. I myself will be teaching willing people some jQuery. Hopefully, we'll have others who can train with javascript if there are those that need to learn javascript. Our goal is a little mentoring experience with Web Development.
