University of Delaware BA in Dance & Dance Minor The dance minor provides students with the opportunity to study a variety of coursework in the historical, cultural, pedagogical, & somatic areas of dance.

The dance minor provides students with the opportunity to study a variety of coursework including technique, composition & choreography, and elective choices in the historical, cultural, pedagogical, and somatic areas of dance. The purpose of the dance minor, is to provide students with a comprehensive dance education that includes opportunities for them to perform, choreograph & conduct research,

and teach in school and community settings. The course work is flexible and adaptive for a large range of students. A unique aspect of this program is a required capstone course that is interdisciplinary. The students are required to combine the dance interest with content from their major course of study. This capstone could be utilized as an honors senior thesis for qualified students.

We are so proud of Mo!

We’re excited to highlight Mo Bossi, a Women and Gender Studies major with a Domestic Violence Prevention Studies concentration, and minor in Dance.

Practicum placement: Newark Police Department victims unit and Domestic Violence Advocacy Program (DVAP).

As an intern, Mo provides advocacy for victims and survivors of intimate partner violence and spends time helping victims acquire Protection from Abuse orders.

For Mo, the most meaningful moments come when clients express their appreciation and she sees the impact of the support she provides.
