That’s a wrap! Pics below are from the last few days at camp plus some goodies for campers shipped to us from friends at Lockheed Martin at Kennedy Space Center! We wrapped up these last few days with lessons on topics such as black holes, fractals, game programming and design, rocket launching and making a moon lander that would protect astronauts when dropped. The kids finished putting together the Star Wars Republic Ship Lego kit- which was quite impressive and will be on display in our lobby. 🚀

Day 3 of FLCC Newark STEAM Camp 2026 is in the books! Today the kids worked with Captain Physics again where they learned the relative distance of the planets by measuring tiles down the hallway and also building and launching pop bottle rockets among other things. 🚀

Day two of Newark STEAM Camp 2026… FLCC staff from Workforce, Career & Experiential Learning set campers up to learn about virtual welding and electricity. It was a very fun and very hands-on day! ⚡️

Captain Physics kicked off our summer STEAM camp at the FLCC Newark Campus today with the science of Space and Star Wars. The kids had a blast and can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings! 🚀

🚀 FLCC STEAM CAMPS – 2026 Summer Camp in Newark!

We’re excited to host a full-day STEAM camp at the Newark Campus Center for students going into grades 6–9!

📅 July 13–17
🕣 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
📍 Newark Campus Center

This year’s theme: STEAM in Orbit 🌎✨
Students will explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands-on learning and creative challenges.

The long weeks of summer will be here before we know it. Parents can fill one (or more) of those weeks with an FLCC summer camp. We have four options based on students' interests. Activities range from learning about robotics, testing for DNA, canoeing , and launching bottle rockets. Registration is now open.
