The University of Delaware is launching the Neil Book School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship within the University of Delaware Lerner College of Business & Economics marking a major investment in innovation-driven education and experiential learning. Made possible through a landmark gift from alumnus Neil Book and his wife, Sharon, the new school will build on the nationally recognized foundation established by University of Delaware Horn Entrepreneurship while expanding opportunities for students across the University.⁠

Launching July 1, 2026, the Book School will support venture creation, interdisciplinary collaboration, mentorship, funding opportunities and hands-on experiences designed to prepare students to lead in a rapidly changing economy.⁠

Congratulations to Dan Lee, associate professor of entrepreneurship, whose paper, “Learning to Quit? A Multi-Year, Multi-Site Field Experiment with Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurs,” was recognized in the IGL Annual Research Prize Competition as Best Experimental Paper with Potential for Policy Impact.
