Meet Class of 2002, Executive Vice President of Account Management at TRIPBAM, Inc. “Relationships are the most powerful part of everyday life. UD brings a sense of community and experience all that you can while you are there. What you learn outside the classroom is as important as what you learn inside the classroom. Invest time in your resume and prep work for your career – market yourself! Make sure the company is a good fit for you. To this day, I remember all of my hospitality professors and how much of an impact they made on me – use them.”

Meet Taryn Loproto, Class of 2012, Director of Catering, FLIK (a division of Compass Group NA). “Time Management is key! Besides your major, consider a minor in another area of interest – even if it is not directly related to Hospitality. Don’t think this is the end of your education. Keep learning – whether a formal program or on your own. It is a great time to find a career in the hospitality industry.”

Meet Class of 2023, interning this summer - The Park Central Hotel in Manhattan. “What an amazing experience! I spent eight weeks as a housekeeping manager and two weeks as a front desk manager. I managed four to six floors every day, assigning rooms to the rooms attendants and inspecting rooms after they were cleaned. I learned so much in this outstanding property. So very thankful to alum Erik Palmer for providing the opportunity.”
