Newberry College Leads South Atlantic Conference with 214 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award Recipients

“This is a tremendous accomplishment for our student-athletes and a testament to the priority Newberry College places on academic excellence,” said Steven Janowiak, Interim Executive Administrator for Athletics. “We are incredibly proud of our Wolves and our staff who support our student athletes for the discipline, commitment and excellence they demonstrate both in competition and in the classroom.”

What an exciting day for Newberry College with not one, but TWO ribbon cuttings! This morning, we celebrated the opening of our newest student housing, Wolves Village, a series of duplexes near the Smith Road Athletic Complex. Then, this afternoon, we unveiled our newly renovated Student Commons in Wessels Library. Thank you so much to everyone who made these spaces possible, and to everyone who came out to celebrate with us!

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER! What an incredible night for the first-ever All IN: Casino Night supporting Newberry College Athletics! We set an ambitious goal of $40,000, and thanks to the incredible generosity and support of the Newberry family, we are on track to come in close to $50,000!

A huge THANK YOU to President Harpool, the Newberry College Board of Trustees, the Scarlet & Gray Athletic Club Board, coaches, our alumni, and every supporter of Newberry College who helped make this night such a tremendous success.

Your generosity directly impacts our student-athletes and helps provide opportunities for them to succeed both on and off the field. We could not have done it without each one of you!

The first one was a huge success—and we are already looking forward to making next year’s All IN even bigger and better!

Some of the most special moments at Newberry College happen because of the people working tirelessly behind the scenes to make them possible.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Carrie Whittier, Assistant Vice President of Student Development and Engagement, for the compassion, leadership, and incredible dedication she brings to every Newberry College orientation and Move-In Day.

Carrie puts her heart into creating an experience where students and families feel welcomed, supported, and excited to begin their Newberry journey. From countless details and long hours of preparation to simply being there when someone needs a helping hand, her commitment to our students is evident in everything she does.

And none of it happens alone. Carrie leads an incredible Student Affairs team whose energy, teamwork, and dedication bring it all together.

A special thank you as well to the departments, student groups, and athletic teams from across campus who stepped up to welcome families, carry boxes, answer questions, and help our newest Wolves get settled. Move-In Day is truly a campuswide effort, and your willingness to pitch in demonstrates the sense of community and belonging that makes Newberry so special.
