Sign up for ART 010N: Drawing – Creative Enterprise, an all-day drawing class held on-site at the Newport Beach Campus. This is a noncredit course, so it is free to take—you just need to make sure you are registered.

While you’re at it, consider adding ART 110: Color and Design: 2-D, an online course that pairs beautifully with drawing.

Together, these two classes are a great way to stay creative over the summer, build your skills, have a dedicated place to work, and be part of a supportive art community.

The college is giving us through this weekend to beef up our online art history class. This eight week course is a survey of visual culture within selected regions of pre-contact Mexico, Central America, and South America. This course will cover the relationships between art and people as it relates to culture, social status, gender, belief systems, and the environment. Some subjects covered are the Maya, Aztec, and Inca art. Coastline College
