One of the highlights of our 2026 Graduation Ceremony was welcoming Rona Graf, Founder and Principal Designer of Grace Blu, as our keynote speaker.

What made the occasion even more special? Rona is an Interior Designers Institute graduate from the Class of 2006. Twenty years after walking across the same graduation stage, she returned to inspire our newest graduates with her remarkable journey from IDI student to nationally recognized interior designer and business owner.

Rona shared valuable insights on the future of interior design, including the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the profession. Her message reminded our graduates that while technology will continue to evolve, creativity, innovation, empathy, and human-centered design will always set exceptional designers apart.

Another proud full-circle moment: Grace Blu continues to hire IDI graduates, a testament to the quality of education our students receive. In fact, Kayla Smith, recipient of this year's "Most Likely to Succeed" Award, is already a member of the Grace Blu team!

Thank you, Rona, for returning to your alma mater and inspiring the next generation of interior designers. Your story is a powerful reminder of what passion, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence can achieve.
