Congrats to Sussex Men’s Soccer on their victory today against Raritan Valley CC. It was the last regular season game and the Skylanders came away with a 3-0 win! They had already secured their place in the playoffs via the previous win. This one bumps them up a notch! The seeding meeting is tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Healthcare professionals are invited to attend a Free Dementia Care Practitioner Seminar at Sussex County Community College.

The one-day Seminar is Saturday, November 21, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and is designed to help healthcare professionals provide compassionate, knowledgeable, and person-centered care for patients with dementia.

Participants will learn practical strategies for communication, understanding dementia-related behaviors, and improving patient care. The seminar also includes a unique virtual reality empathy experience that offers insight into the challenges faced by individuals living with dementia.

A New Way to Get Fit at Sussex County Community College!

SCCC officially celebrated the grand opening of our new outdoor Fitness Court® Studio with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 15! Made possible through a partnership with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and National Fitness Campaign, this exciting addition brings FREE outdoor fitness opportunities to our students, employees, and the Sussex County community!

The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together College leadership, Board of Trustee members, County Commissioners, representatives from Horizon, and community members to celebrate this new wellness resource.

During the Ceremony, SCCC Exercise Science students and baseball athletes demonstrated the seven workout stations, showing how people of all fitness levels can get moving, build strength, and stay healthy. Designed for ages 14 and older, the Fitness Court® offers a fun, accessible way to work out right on campus! The free Fitness Court® App also provides guided workouts, instructional videos, fitness challenges, and other resources.

Located on the upper SCCC campus along College Hill Road.

KEEP VOTING FOR Sussex County Technical School until 10/25!
Sussex County Community College Skylanders stand by our Sussex Tech Mustangs in the T-Mobile Challenge!
Sussex County Technical School has already won $30,000, but now they’re going for the big prizes, and they need Sussex County to help them get there.
If the Mustangs finish first in the East, Sussex Tech wins $250,000, a Gronk Fitness gym makeover, and a $5,000 student leadership award. That money goes straight to Sussex Tech students and athletes.
Winners from all four divisions go head-to-head in a final public vote for a $1 million grand prize. That money goes toward improvements to the football field and stadium.
How to vote (it takes about a minute)

2. Enter your mobile number. The first time you vote, T-Mobile texts you a one-time code to verify it.

Sussex County Makerspace and Sussex County Community College brought together local technology educators and STEM partners for a day of collaboration, innovation, and professional development!

The event offered an opportunity to explore emerging technologies, share ideas, and strengthen connections between education and industry, all with one goal: preparing students for tomorrow's workforce.

James Hofmann, President of Sussex County Makerspace, and Dr. Cory Homer, President of SCCC, welcomed attendees and highlighted the importance of partnerships that connect K–12 schools, higher education, and industry.

Together, we're creating new opportunities for educators, strengthening workforce pathways, and helping students build skills for future success!
