Congratulations to our 19 newly certified volunteer firefighters! 🎓 🚒 The graduates, who completed Basic Fire Academy Training at the Lower Bucks Public Safety Training Center in Croydon, were celebrated during an August 13 graduation ceremony at the Gene and Marlene Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks. As Pennsylvania’s largest provider of fire and emergency services training, the College prepares roughly 45,000 first responders each year across all 67 counties. Read more: https://bit.ly/4qxkq4k

Congratulations to the Bucks County Community College students who created “Birdhouse Bacchanal,” a mixed media sculpture, which received the most votes by visitors to Warrington’s Lions Pride Park to be purchased for the township’s permanent outdoor art collection! The township presented a $500 check, courtesy of Gateway KIA, to the student artists on August 14. The exhibition, installed along the park’s walking trails, showcased three collaborative sculptures created by Bucks students and two works by alumni.

From the classroom to hands-on opportunities in the biomedical field, Bucks Centurions shine! 🧬💫

Congratulations to Nicholas Colucciello, a sophomore Biotechnology major, and Amanda Findlay, a chemistry graduate and Biotechnology certificate graduate, who recently completed the Biomedical Technician Training Program at the Wistar Institute in Philadelphia!

Nicholas and Amanda earned certificates and celebrated with Bucks Biotechnology instructor Lee Ann Lippencott at the Wistar graduation last month.

We are proud to be an education partner with the Wistar Institute. This partnership provides our students with nationally acclaimed research and training opportunities.

Are you a storyteller? Bucks County Community College is searching for the best short fiction tale in the county. The Bucks County Short Fiction Contest will be judged by bestselling author Dennis Tafoya whose crime novel "Dope Thief" inspired the Apple TV Emmy-nominated series by the same name. Entry deadline is noon on Thursday, October 8.

We're proud to celebrate our nursing professor, Mary Dura, Ed.D., who has been named the recipient of the 2026 Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching.

For more than 20 years, Dr. Dura has inspired and prepared the next generation of nurses with compassion, innovation, and real-world experience. One of the sweetest moments of the celebration? Sharing it with her 10-year-old daughter, Julia, who joined her on stage. 💙
