Recently, we have received quite an amount of inquiries on how to become an AED member, what it takes to apply, how to become an PHC member, and application deadlines. At the end of this email are the qualifications to becoming both AED classes of membership the Chapter and National branches. But, to become either you must establish yourself as a Pre-health club member. To becoming an ODU Pre-Heal
th Club member you must earn, minimum, 20 membership points per semester of the upcoming 2015-2016 year. You can acheive these 20 points by attending Pre-Health Club meetings (2 points for attendance), participating with activities and club promoting opportunities that arise throughout the semester, as well as, providing proof for outside volunteering services which will earn you with 2 points for every 5-hours of service. Likewise, to secure your membership you must pay either a $15 membership fee per semester in the 2015-2016 year or pay the $25 fee for the whole year. For returning members, membership status is to be renewed to maintain Pre-Health Club membership in order to qualify as new AED Chapter/National members for the 2015-2016 year. Inline image 4
Applications and fees can only be taken at any of the club meetings during the upcoming Fall and Spring semesters. We ask that prospective members complete and turn in their membership submissions with club fees as quickly as possible when club meetings are established. There will be a deadline set for spring 2016 semester for membership deadlines. Pre-Health Club will not be receiving late yearly memberships nor late application fees for members who did not volunteer nor attend any of the meetings very late in the next spring semester. On the matter of membership fees, should difficulties arise we have an installment plan set up to where we can accept increments of the required $15 per semester fee or the full year $25 payment fee throughout the semester but require the entire amount whether it be your semester ($15 per semester) or yearly membership ($25 for the whole year) to be due on or prior to the last meeting of each semester. Currently we are not taking any membership applications this semester due to tentative planning for the upcoming new school year and ask that any and all inquiries please address us at [email protected] or our orgsync at https://orgsync.com/55733/chapterfor any inquiries concerning membership inquiries. ***Pre-Health Club applications will not be available to fill out till the first semester meetings have been established and an announcement email with a membership application attachment will be mailed to all of you as soon as club activities have been established for the fall 2015 semester. ODU club membership status, orgsync is a student association website used for promotional outreach purposes to inform new students and interested members on prospective meetings, blood drives, volunteering opportunities, and deadline information. An online membership acceptance does not validate a ODU Pre-Health Club membership nor does it qualify an AED Chapter or National Member status. In order to apply for Chapter or National Branch memberships new and returning members must, again be an established Pre-Health Club member and fulfill these points and standards:
