🎉SGA WILL NO LONGER FUND PETTING ZOOS ON CAMPUS! However unfortunately that does not stop all petting zoos 😭 homecoming does not receive funding from SGA so they will still have a petting zoo every year. This is not only an issue with animal cruelty but also the health of students and members of the community as petting zoos have been known for outbreaks in salmonella and E. Coli. Sign the petition to tell the Homecoming Organization to put an end to petting zoos.

After meetings with out President the Student Government Association (SGA) has agreed to no longer fund petting zoos however that does not stop all petting zoos on campus. The biggest and most consistent petting zoo at Old Dominion University is the petting zoo for homecoming. Being that petting zoo...

This Thanksgiving try one of the awesome vegan roast options (gardien, field roast, tofurkey and more) or just opt out of turkey all together 😁

Turkey's are forced to get as fat as possible as fast as possible and are killed at just months old 😭
•
Turkeys need a lot of space to roam and be free however they are stuffed in tiny cages with multiple turkeys all with their beaks cut off to avoid self mutilation from mental illnesses that are caused from their living conditions 😱

About 46 million turkeys die for Thanksgiving so this year for Thanksgiving try sparing a life💚

"It's wrong to use animals for entertainment" if you agree with that statement please consider signing and sharing our petition. These animals was left out for at least 4 hours. The little piggy was even screaming and was running to the back of the cage but the guy who operated the petting zoo dragged her out of the cage. Please tell odu to stop allowing events with animals!
