🎉 Oklahoma Transition Institute 2026 is a wrap! 🎉

What a fabulous conference! OTI brought together more than 500 educators from across Oklahoma to learn, collaborate, and share best practices in transition planning for students with disabilities. 🙌

We didn’t capture pictures of everything, but the Zarrow Institute on Transition & Self-Determination was well represented! We loved connecting with educators, sharing resources, and supporting the important work happening across our state.

A huge thank-you to everyone who made OTI 2026 a success! We’re already looking forward to next year! ❤️

This is a unique opportunity to support college students with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they:

✨ Navigate college and residential life
✨ Become more engaged in their campus and community

You’ll also have the opportunity to teach inclusive education courses, facilitate skill development, create inclusive social opportunities, and work alongside an amazing team committed to person-centered practices and inclusive postsecondary education.

We are incredibly proud of Tori Humphrey Collier and her continued commitment to creating meaningful change through research, leadership, and advocacy.

Tori was recently featured by the Systems Alignment Innovation Hub for her participation in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Systems for Action Policy Fellow Workshop in Washington, D.C. During her visit to Capitol Hill, she met with congressional staff and had the opportunity to meet with U.S. Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma, sharing her research and advocacy efforts focused on mental health, educational equity, and support for underserved communities.

Through her work with the James Humphrey Jr. Foundation's M4 program, Tori is helping advance innovative solutions that provide mental health counseling, mentorship, financial support, and goal-setting resources for students facing systemic barriers. 

What inspires us most is that Tori describes this experience as "just the beginning" of her advocacy journey. Her dedication to turning research into action and amplifying the needs of students, families, and communities reflects the impact we strive to make every day at the Zarrow Institute. 

Congratulations, Tori! We are honored to celebrate your accomplishments and excited to see the difference you will continue to make across Oklahoma and beyond.

Congratulations Dr. Fanee Webster! Proud Zarrow Institute Alumni

Congratulations to Dr. Faneé Webster!

The Mid-Del Board of Education has named Dr. Faneé Webster as Assistant Principal at Del City High School at the July 13, 2026 Board Meeting.

A proud Carl Albert High School graduate, Dr. Webster brings a wealth of experience in special education administration, academic research, and classroom instruction to her new leadership role. Her career has included serving as the Director of Special Services for Guthrie Public Schools, a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Langston University, and a special education teacher in both Mid-Del Public Schools and Richardson ISD.

With a passion for student success and educator support, Dr. Webster is dedicated to using evidence-based practices, collaborative leadership, and strong family partnerships to help all students reach their full potential.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Webster back home to Mid-Del and congratulating her on this exciting new opportunity at Del City High School!
