Meet Molly Flanagan ’28, our next Student Internship Spotlight!

Molly gained hands-on legal experience as a Legal Intern with Greater Boston Legal Services, where she worked directly with low-income clients and handled matters involving wrongfully terminated SNAP benefits. In her role, she conducted legal research, advocated on behalf of clients, and supported work benefiting the greater Boston community.

“I assisted a single mother who had multiple children at home, including a newborn baby. She had to leave her job due to medical issues, and turned to the government for assistance. However, for eight months, she was not paid the amount she was entitled to. But after lots of collaborative advocacy, we were able to recover nearly $2,500 for her and her family.”

This year's theme for the 2026 National Celebration of Pro Bonos (Oct. 25-31) is "Serving Justice" and CBF is excited to participate by holding a FREE workshop to expand the network of attorneys who can help individuals seeking asylum. Because no asylum seeker should face detention alone.

Join us on Monday, October 26th for “Asylum 101,” a one-day training session for attorneys interested in providing pro bono representation in asylum cases.

Co-sponsored by the Quinnipiac University School of Law Civil Justice Clinic Initiative and Connecticut Bar Foundation, this training will provide attorneys with the information and tools needed to support people navigating the asylum process.

Quinnipiac Law’s Moot Court Final Bench was held this past Thursday, featuring the case of West Quinnipiac University v. Dr. Peter Foster, a dispute involving First and Fourteenth Amendment rights.

The finalists were 2Ls Tiffany Brum, representing West Quinnipiac University, and Olivia LaRosa, representing Dr. Peter Foster. Competitors advanced through two preliminary rounds, semifinals, and finals, completing four rounds of competition in just five days!

Congratulations to Dean Brian Gallini on crossing the finish line at the Hartford Marathon this Sunday! His reflections on resilience and balance are a great reminder that progress, in running, in law school and in life, happens one day at a time!

“Running Hartford on World Mental Health Day felt especially meaningful. I found myself reflecting on how much of this race was really built during ordinary days: early mornings, late nights, family commitments, and simply showing up," commented Dean Gallini. "Marathon training has been one of the ways I stay centered through the demands of life. This race was a reminder that resilience is rarely built all at once. It is built one day at a time.”

Meet Colton Bailey ’28, our next Student Internship Spotlight!

Colton is gaining hands-on legal experience at Green & Sklarz in New Haven, where he first joined the firm as a summer associate after his 1L year and returned this fall. In his role, he conducts legal research, drafts pleadings and motions, and supports the firm’s litigation team on matters across several courts.

“One of the most interesting parts has been working on matters connected to the New York bankruptcy, a large and unusually complex Chapter 11 case pending in Connecticut. The size and complexity of the case have made the work difficult but also incredibly rewarding.”

Meghan Jezik and Stephanie Martinez, both second-year law students in Quinnipiac Law's Civil Justice Clinic, advocated on behalf of a client facing eviction in New Haven Housing Court.

After meeting the client for the first time that day, they quickly established rapport, gathered information and developed an understanding of her circumstances and goals. Through negotiation with the landlord’s attorney, they secured a favorable settlement that allowed the client and her children to remain in their home.

Their preparation, professionalism and commitment to client-centered advocacy made a meaningful difference for a family facing the loss of their housing.

Meet Patricia Limperopoulos ’27, our next Student Internship Spotlight!

Patricia gained hands-on legal experience as a Legal Intern with Mast-Jägermeister US in White Plains, New York. In her role, she supported the company’s in-house legal and compliance work through legal research, contract review, and collaboration across the company.

“One of the most memorable parts of the internship was being trusted to work on projects that involved several departments and were presented to members of management. It was rewarding to know that my research and work product could contribute to real business decisions. I especially valued working with a Quinnipiac Law alum who understood the law school experience and showed me how a legal education can translate into a successful in-house career."
