This spring, Quinnipiac Law's Muslim Law Students Association (MLSA) hosted its Annual Iftar Dinner and Eid al-Fitr celebration, bringing together students, faculty, and staff to learn more about Ramadan and celebrate community.

These events were a meaningful opportunity for the law school community to support fellow students, build connections, and engage with one of the many affinity groups that help make Quinnipiac Law a welcoming place to learn and grow.

As MLSA President Mariama Diallo '27 shared, “QU MLSA has given me a sense of community and support that I deeply needed. Having a community rooted in faith here at law school has truly been a blessing for me.”

Quinnipiac Law has earned dual national recognition from preLaw magazine, receiving A+ ratings for both practical training and best law school buildings on the 2026 Honor Roll.

“This reflects a sustained, intentional focus on preparing students not just to graduate but to practice — through experiential learning, skills integration across the curriculum, bar‑focused support and close engagement with the profession,” said Dean Brian Gallini. “This isn’t about a single program or initiative — it’s about a culture committed to practice‑ready education.”

With guaranteed clinic or externship opportunities for every student, extensive simulation-based coursework and spaces designed to support collaboration and hands-on learning, Quinnipiac Law continues to invest in an experience that prepares students to enter the legal profession with confidence.

“Always remember you deserve to be here.”

As she reflects on her three years at Quinnipiac Law, that is the advice Iyanna Ellis, JD ’26, hopes incoming students will carry with them.

Before her travel to Los Angeles for her upcoming role as a post bar clerk at the Public Defender’s Office, Ellis reflected on how her Quinnipiac Law education and experiences prepared her for her career and shaped her as a person.

Ellis served as the vice president and regional representative for the Quinnipiac Black Law Students Association, as well as a mentor in the Quinnipiac Law Mentorship Program.
