Shorter College is excited to invite you to a day of learning, discovery, and collaboration at AI in Education: Use, Application & Institutional Readiness, presented by Tennessee State University’s Smart Innovation Technology Center in partnership with Shorter College.

Whether you have been experimenting with artificial intelligence or are simply curious about where to begin, there is a place for you in this conversation. Together, we will explore practical ways AI can support our work, strengthen teaching and learning, and help us better serve students

You don't have to wait until First Sunday...

The public is always welcome to dine with the staff and students at Shorter College for lunch, and we always step it up after Wednesday Chapel Assembly.

A rotating menu of Homestyle Southern Cooking is served starting at Noon every Wednesday when school is in session during the FALL and SPRING semesters.

For just $12 a plate, break bread with our staff and students or take one to go.

So, what did you miss at Shorter College today?

Wednesday is Chapel Day during the Fall and Spring Semesters, and today was a pure blessing!

The President’s Office hosted today’s chapel.

We had the announcement of our Dean of Students, Reginald Lambert, as Dr. Lambert.

We had a special rendition of "How Great Is Our God" by Mr. Michael Barker.

Our Chaplain, Rev. Mary Hull-Lovett, gave a special message that got the students out of their seats and shouting to 10x their blessings.

And every Wednesday, lunch service at the dining hall is Southern Soul Food.

How can you be a part of this? You are invited to join us for chapel every Wednesday at 11 am when school is in session for Fall and Spring. You can stop by for a plate lunch at the Shorter College Dining Hall from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on weekdays (Noon start on Wednesday after Chapel).

President Jeffrey Norfleet and the three leaders from Arkansas’s four HBCUs were at Philander Smith University this morning to announce approximately $4 million in additional funding for the state’s HBCUs.

Our President spent the afternoon touring with Congressman French Hill, showing how the future vision cast in this year’s State of the College is progressing, and how some of Shorter’s portion will help in the completion of many campus projects, including the opening of the Technology Hub and expanded facilities and services for our students.
