Update:

Sunday, October 13, 11 am—

Atala Hall will reopen to residents today, Sunday, October 13, at noon.

It is important that you bring your USF ID with you to gain access into your space.

Due to the power outages, please assume any perishable items left in your refrigerator are spoiled and unsafe to eat. Throw all food left behind away in a sealed plastic bag, including food in the 6th floor community fridge.

USF Dining will reopen at noon.

If you have any major facilities issues please notify your RA on duty or the service desk during normal hours when it reopens on Monday.

For non-emergency facilities issues please submit a work order!

Update:

All three USF campuses will operate remotely tomorrow, Monday, October 7. Classes will only be delivered asynchronously, which means students will not have to meet on Monday and they will receive an assignment from their instructor that does not have to be completed on Monday or while the university is closed.

Tuesday, October 8, and Wednesday, October 9, all three USF campuses will be closed and no in-person or online learning will take place.

Atala Hall will be closing by noon tomorrow. Students needing a safe place to stay will be transported to the USF Tampa campus.

More information will be provided via .edu emails.

⛈️ Tropical Storm Helene Update (5 p.m.) ⛈️

All classes across USF campuses will be canceled beginning Wednesday, September 25. USF Campuses will remain closed through Friday, September 27. Residence halls on the Tampa and Sarasota-Manatee campuses will remain open through campus closures.

Housing & Residential Education staff will remain on campus throughout the storm to ensure residents' safety. If there is an emergency, staff will respond when it is safe to do so and can be contacted via the RA on-duty phone number posted in Atala Hall. If you have an emergency, please call 911.

We encourage you to prepare for the storm by reviewing the USF Hurricane Guide (https://www.usf.edu/.../eme.../documents/hurricane-guide.pdf) and moving any valuables away from exterior windows as an added precaution.

HRE will also continue to provide updates on activities happening in Atala Hall as residents ride out the storm. We are here for you!
