802 Day. Vermont roots, Norwich pride. 🏔️

From The Hill to everywhere our graduates serve, this place shapes leaders who show up and stand out.

On this day, we honor the culmination of the emancipation proclamation.

June 19th marks the anniversary of the day when Union Army General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas and demanded that the state’s enslaved people be set free. In 2021, the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act was signed, recognizing Juneteenth as a federal holiday.

Today we continue to celebrate and honor the freedom that this country stands for.
