🎉Congratulations to Emmett Allen ’26 on earning his commission as an Ensign (ENS) in the U.S. Coast Guard!

As a member of Norwich University's Coast Guard Auxiliary University Program (AUP), Emmett joins a proud tradition of service and leadership. Norwich is one of only a select few universities nationwide to offer the Coast Guard AUP, providing students with unique opportunities to develop as future Coast Guard officers and leaders.

Please join us in congratulating ENS Allen on this outstanding achievement and wishing him fair winds and following seas as he begins his service to our nation.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can affect anyone. About 1 out of every 20 adults in the U.S. (or 5% of Americans) has PTSD in any given year. Even though PTSD treatments work, most people who have PTSD don’t get the help they need.

June is National PTSD Awareness Month and a reminder that not all wounds are visible.

On June 18-19, take a minute to reach out to classmates and friends for the camaraderie and to check in on each other’s well-being. Getting in touch can be as easy as making a call, sending a text or email, and is guaranteed to make someone’s day.

The most fundamental responsibility of Norwich alumni is to look out for each other.
