Starting Tuesday, June 16, our campus will transition to a new ID scanning system. All current ID badge readers at building entrances will move from a tap-in model to a barcode scanning model. Please note that the printed barcode on your ID must be clearly visible when scanning.

If you need a replacement ID, please visit the campus security desk in the East Campus main lobby.

Additionally, while every effort will be made to ensure a smooth transition, some adjustments to daily routines might be necessary.

Our Guided Pathways Advising Office was excited to welcome over 200 students from our top seven feeder high schools to campus. Students connected with our resources, set up their CT State portals, attended a financial aid session, and registered for classes. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make these events a success and warmly welcomed the newest members of our CT State Norwalk family!

Last week, our campus participated in our first-ever Pantry Palooza where 7 teams of faculty and staff members headed to our local ShopRite and given 8 shopping clues (plus an optional Golden Clue) to solve and collect essential items for our campus pantry. Our teams even competed for awards like Coupon Conqueror and Speed Shopper.

Together, the teams spent approximately $1,400 to support our food pantry with items like peanut butter, cooking oil, rice, canned goods, and so much more.

Thank you to the Food Pantry and our STRIVE Committee for hosting an amazing event and getting our faculty and staff involved in some friendly competition!

Our 4th Annual Veteran and Military Stole and Cord Ceremony was held on the morning of graduation to honor our veteran, active-duty military, and military-dependent students. This annual ceremony recognizes the dedication and sacrifices our students have made in service to our country while also pursuing their educational goals.

A massive thank you to CT State Senate Majority Leader, Bob Duff; Mayor of Norwalk, Barbara Smyth; and former Mayor of Norwalk, Harry Rilling for joining us and sharing remarks during our ceremony as well as their continued support of our campus and our students.
