Ken Lalli’s Graphic Design II/III students worked on movie posters for a prequel, sequel or spinoff of an existing movie—each of which had to be completed in three distinct historical styles. Special thanks to Art Sims of 11:24 Design Advertising for being the inspiration for this project, and for being kind enough to have spoken to Norwalk students about his process. Sims, of course, is known for his incredible work with Spike Lee, Steven Speilberg, and much, much more.

Stephanie Moran is a seasoned professional who graduated from (Norwalk Community College) and with degrees in graphic design. Her journey began with an internship at a fine art publisher, BonArtique. This opportunity swiftly evolved into a full-time position upon graduation, where she honed her skills in home decor licensing for nearly a decade.

Stephanie ventured into entrepreneurship, founding her company and brand, . Creating her own line of products led her to gain experience in branding, product development, and marketing.

Stephanie's career trajectory then led her to a role at before finding her true calling at . Here, she joined the Creative Strategy and Development team, contributing her expertise to consumer product design. As a Design Manager, Stephanie currently leads various initiatives, including overseeing the internal Amazon Merch on Demand program, select Marvel Studios style guides, and the merch booths at and .

On Saturday, March 23, 2024, CT State Norwalk and the Art, Architecture + Design department hosted AIGA Connecticut for their 2024 Emerging Professionals Workshop. 52 students from around the state attended the event which included an incredible panel of speakers. Angela Chen-Wolf, Butch Quick, Amy Gorrek, Sam Angermann, Ben Applebaum and Andrea Pataro Schwartz—along with a keynote address from Karl Heine, provided valuable insights and opportunities for professional growth for two- and four-year students alike.

A special thank you to all of the speakers, the volunteer reviewers and of course, for the great work that you all do in inspiring and promoting creativity in the field of design.
