Some of the best decisions begin with a change in plans.

When Elaine entered Notre Dame's Master of Science in Accountancy program on a different timeline than many of her peers, she discovered opportunities she hadn't expected. The experience gave her the flexibility to explore different career paths and navigate the recruiting process with intention.

“Since I wasn’t locked into a strict timeline, I had more room to adjust if I changed my mind,” she said. “It gave me a lot more control over my path.”

For Master of Science in Accounting students and KPMG Firm Fellows Emma Ackland and Hammed Fofana, the Firm Fellows program created early opportunities to connect with professionals, build confidence, and gain valuable insight into the accounting industry.

For Emma, the KPMG Firm Fellowship provided reassurance and confidence throughout the recruiting process. For Hammed, the experience fostered meaningful relationships with KPMG professionals that helped him become familiar with the firm’s culture, expectations, and workplace environment.

Grace has distinguished herself through exceptional academic achievement, completing her accounting degree in just three years. A four-language speaker who has traveled to 20 countries, Grace has made an impact across the Mendoza community through leadership and mentorship roles, including serving as Assistant Student Union Treasurer, mentoring students in the Transformational Leadership Program, tutoring across accounting, writing, and Italian, and supporting immigrant women through a startup focused on embroidery entrepreneurship.
