University of Notre Dame Professor of the Practice Stephen Lancaster announces the release of GILGAMESH, a visual album of a contemporary song cycle based on the ancient Mesopotamian epic. Released on November 7, 2025, on Navona Records, the production is the result of a decade-long, interdisciplinary collaboration combining music, film, and dance.

Professor Patrick Yim Releases “One: New Music for Unaccompanied Violin” on New Focus Recordings!

Violinist Patrick Yim's One documents his activities commissioning, premiering, and recording new solo violin works by some of the contemporary music scene's most active composers, including Juri Seo, Notre Dame Professor John Liberatore, Takuma Itoh, Ilari Kaila, Páll Ragnar Pálsson, and Matthew Schreibeis.

The students enjoyed a masterclass with Alexandra Razskazoff, the 2022 Met Opera Laffont Competition Grand Finals winner,

She will be performing with Dror Baitel, Notre Dame Opera music director tonight! They will perform a vibrant program spanning Baroque to the 20th century, including songs by Britten, Puccini, Rachmaninov, Lerner and Lowe, and Bernstein, and arias by Verdi, Puccini and Handel.
