It takes a village to develop the next generation — and that village needs to be empowered, too.

The North Arundel County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, in partnership with the AACPS Mentorship Program, invites you to A Day of Empowerment — a conference designed to inspire our youth and strengthen the parents and mentors who continue to pour into them.

Together, we’ll create space for young people to discover their potential, build confidence, and prepare for their next level, while giving mentors and parents opportunities to connect, recharge, and gain tools to continue making an impact.

Join our Backpack Supply Drive and help students start the school year with confidence! We're collecting new backpacks and essential school supplies to support children and families in our community.

Most Needed Items: New Backpacks, erasers and sharpeners, pens and pencils, notebooks, folders, binders, crayons, and colored pencils

*Donations will be distributed Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 10 AM-12:30 PM at the 6th Annual Back-2-School Block Party at Van Bokkelen Elementary School, located at 1140 Reece Road, Severn, MD 21144.

Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Together, we can help students walk into the classroom prepared to learn and succeed.
