From overcoming social anxiety to earning a full-ride scholarship to Princeton, Aeryn Miller’s journey is an example of the transformative impact of WSU PREP.

Initially accustomed to virtual learning, attending PREP pushed Aeryn out of her comfort zone, helping her build personal confidence in face-to-face environments. Academically, PREP sparked her passion for challenging STEM concepts and made college-level environments feel familiar and approachable. That foundation empowered her to take early college courses, earn an associate degree in mathematics, discover her love for astrophysics, and serve as a STEM mentor for the WSU PREP Program.

Aeryn’s key takeaway? "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take". Don't be afraid to shoot for the stars! 🚀✨1

This summer, Weber State University's Rocket Club made history! 🚀

Thanks to a generous sponsorship from Williams International, the team traveled to Midland, Texas, to compete in the 2026 International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC) alongside more than 150 universities from around the world.

Representing WSU for the first time, the club launched its inaugural 9-foot rocket after months of designing, building, and testing. What an incredible milestone!
